OffPeak

Run your home when power is cheap.

OffPeak watches real-time and day-ahead electricity prices across the U.S. markets it supports and tells you, plainly, when power is cheap and when it’s about to spike, so you can run the dryer, charge the car, or hold off, and shave real money off a variable-rate bill.

◖ Smart timing

Spend less when you can
act on the price.

Wholesale power can swing from a couple of cents to over 30¢ a kWh in a day. OffPeak reads your market’s live and day-ahead prices, finds the cheap windows, and warns you before a spike — so flexible loads run when energy is at its cheapest.

Home-battery ownersstore cheap, discharge on spikes

On a fixed-rate plan today? OffPeak still shows how the grid is pricing power right now — a useful signal, and a way to judge whether a real-time rate is worth it.

Coverage

Live in the markets that
price power in real time.

OffPeak follows the organized U.S. wholesale electricity markets — the regions where prices actually move minute to minute. Coverage spans most of the country where real-time prices can be published.

Note on PJM (mid-Atlantic): PJM’s data license restricts non-members from redistributing its real-time prices, so areas served only by PJM are not shown. Tiles are sized roughly by state area; the map is schematic — real-time pricing follows market (RTO/ISO) boundaries, which don’t always match state lines, so availability can vary within a state. More markets coming.

Pricing data from public utility and grid-operator sources. OffPeak is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any utility or grid operator. Prices shown are informational and may be delayed; check your utility for billing rates.
